In memory of Brenda who spent her last 2 weeks at St Elizabeth Hospice, she was treated with such care and tenderness. Brenda was born on the 13th August 1943 in Bradfied Essex. Brenda was sister to Terry, and half sister to George, Sam and Pauline. Wife to Michael, beloved mum to Jackie and Rachel, adored nan to Zara, Leah, Finlay and Mia. Brenda married Michael on 22nd December 1962 at Wix, Essex. Followng the birth of Jackie in 1965 they moved to Hadleigh, Rachel was then born in 1967. Brenda has always involved herself in clubs and organisations such as playgroups, brownies/guides and the local swimming club. Brenda started making corn dollies for Corncraft which developed into a great career that lasted more than 40 years, she also took on the role of Tea Room Manager following an extension to the shop. Brenda had many happy years with Corncraft and made some great friends there. Following Brenda's retirement, she found new friends after taking up bowling with East Bergholt Bowling Club. Brenda had some great times, especially when she beat Mick!, weekends away and social events with the bowling cub. Despite her determination to fight her illness, Brenda lost her battle on 1st July after a short stay at St Elizabeths Hospice. Brenda will be greatly missed by all of those who loved, cared for and knew her.
